What does the event entail?

Heaton Park has been transformed into a breath-taking wonderland, filled with mesmerising illuminations from some of the UK’s top light artists, a festive village brimming with delicious local treats, and exciting fairground rides.

The mile long walk through the largest municipal park in Europe will take you through 17 distinct illumination zones, each with their own unique character.

If arriving by car please use the Lakeside Car Park, Sheepfoot Lane, M25 0DL (parking must be booked in advance). If arriving by foot or public transport then please use Gate 13, Bury Old Road, M25 1JE (opposite the Heaton Park Metrolink Tram Stop).

What time do you open and close?

The first entry time every day will be 4:15pm. Slots are booked in 15-minute intervals, and we operate a 15-minute grace window, allowing customers to enter 15 minutes before or after their booking.

Last admission is 15 minutes after the last advertised time, and customers who are still in the Christmas Village will be asked to begin the trail. The Christmas Village will remain open until 15 minutes after the last customers have finished the trail.
